Do all creditors settle?
Assuming you meet our criteria and are able to accumulate settlement funds, most creditors are willing to settle your unsecured debts. The amount that they settle for varies depending on the creditor as well as on your particular situation. Not all creditors work directly with settlement companies. This is why sometimes your involvement in the negotiations process may be necessary. Also, generally when an account is sold from an original creditor that may not be as willing to settle, the debt buyer will work directly with settlement companies.
